Summer Verandah

My Home (Ella Wheeler Wilcox)

This is the place that I love the best,
A little brown house, like a ground-bird’s nest,
Hid among grasses, and vines, and trees,
Summer retreat of the birds and bees.

Summer Morning on The Verandah
Structure: Rustic Cottage Bloo – Culprit
Larkin Hanging Chairs – PILOT || Sleepy Italian Greyhound – Half-Deer || Hanging Bamboo Herb Planter – Organica || Yukka Bottle – +ILO+ || Herb Garden Table & Vertical Herb Garden – Sari-Sari || Bird Cage – 8f8 || house terrarium/arctic – vespertine || magazines – The Challenged Gardener – [hate this!] || tealight bucket. purple. – junk || Cotta Herb Planters , Thyme – A&A || wannabe boho. rug. three. – junk @ The Arcade June ’14 || Enchanted Woods v2 – Studio Skye
The tenderest light that ever was seen
Sifts through the vine-made window screen–
Sifts and quivers, and flits and falls
On home-made carpets and gray-hung walls.

All through June the west wind free
The breath of clover brings to me.
All through the languid July day
I catch the scent of new-mown hay.

(The rest of the poem here)

Except for the rug from junk which is available as a gacha prize at this month’s Arcade, nothing in this picture is new release. It’s like summoning old friends for a lazy morning of relaxation.

Something I badly need this week.

Hoping your week will be smooth sailing! ❤
